PetHonesty is a known brand in the pet care industry. Their shampoo product aims to help against itching, hot spots and inflammation. It includes Chlorhexidine which is a chemical disinfectant and is melon scented.
Overall, this seems to be a good quality formula but it falls short on a couple of criteria. Firstly, it is not an all-natural formula, which is something we recommend as many shampoos on the market can contain chemicals or irritants.
While chemicals may do a better job of cleaning, they can cause issues in dogs with sensitive skin. Particularly scented shampoos which are not naturally scented could be too strong and further irritate your pup.
We recommend this if your dog has an extreme skin condition and requires something stronger, but for a day to day general shampoo we would continue to recommend an all-natural alternative.

This shampoo and conditioner is sold as separate products, which almost doubles the cost of a good quality shampoo and conditioner combo.
The bright side (pun intended) is that this product utilises all-natural ingredients such as Lavender and Oatmeal. It does not include aloe-vera as a primary product however, which is unfortunate as it is a better anti-inflammatory than lavender.
The downside however is that the value for money is not good, as you have to pay double to receive the same effect than a combination shampoo and conditioner. In addition, some customer reviews have been critical of the scent.
